We generally recommend coming to the museum without a stroller anyway, as we really only have very limited space.
In any case, you are welcome to place your stroller in the cloakroom so that you can comfortably enjoy your stay. Please note that it is unfortunately not possible to bring the stroller inside the exhibition space.
You can buy your admission ticket from the comfort of your home here buy. It is important that you choose your desired entry time.
For example, if you choose your ticket for the 1pm-2pm slot, you can show up between 1pm-2pm. So your admission is guaranteed even at 1:55 p.m. If you arrive after the specified time, we will let you in, subject to availability.
As usual, you can also buy a ticket at the ticket office. We will then check for free space in the museum and can let you in depending on the number of visitors. If the museum is already fully visited, you can reserve the next possible time for admission. This allows you to go out for a coffee in peace and quiet without having to wait long in line.
You can also buy a ticket on site, as long as we're not already fully booked. At a fully booked museum, we introduce

Yes, cameras are allowed for private use, as long as no other equipment such as stands, lights, etc. is brought along.

We have a cloakroom with lockers. No liability is assumed. For individual large pieces of luggage, we can also provide our staff room.
Shootings are best carried out on Tuesdays. No shootings are possible during operation. Feel free to contact us at events@wow-museum.ch.

We offer exciting guided tours for inquisitive school groups. Training topics such as optical illusions, color theory, perspective and sensory perception can be easily explained and presented in the WOW Museum.

Children up to 12 years of age must visit the WOW Museum with an accompanying person.
Yes, we have a box office quota each day. Waiting times are expected and entry is not guaranteed if we are sold out. We therefore recommend buying tickets online in advance.
No, eating and drinking is prohibited in the museum, nor is there a separate lounge. However, we can refer you to our neighboring restaurants or cafés, which you can visit after your visit to the museum.
The 20 minutes relate to the admission period. The average length of stay is around 60-90 minutes.

We recommend booking one ticket online at a time. To do this, check your preferred date and time online in advance. Here you can go directly to the ticket shop. If we have enough space, you are also welcome to come by spontaneously and we will check the capacity on site. However, waiting times must be expected or that admission will not be possible.
During the holiday season and on weekends, we expect the museum to be busy. We therefore strongly recommend booking a ticket at these times. At a sold-out museum, we always have a box office quota available for spontaneous guests. However, there is a waiting time for these tickets or even that admission is no longer possible.
You are welcome to print it out, but it is also sufficient if you have the ticket on your mobile phone. Simply the QR code is enough for us.
No, but families can buy a family ticket. Families with more than 4 children can book an additional child for 6€ on site.

Unfortunately, we cannot host group visits on the weekends, as we are always very busy then.
If you are a smaller group (up to 12 people), you can buy the tickets yourselves via our ticket shop.
You can also purchase tickets across different slots (e.g. 9 tickets at 12:20pm and 3 tickets at 12:40pm), but your group can start their visit at the same time together.
You can pay for your ticket booked online by credit card.
At the local reception desk, we accept credit cards, debit cards, EC and cash.
Important: The voucher can only be redeemed online and not on site.

Select your ticket category and the number of tickets you have. Before you complete your booking, you can enter your code in the “ENTER PROMOCODE” field and select “Redeem.” Several promo codes can be redeemed one after the other.

Complete your booking under “Book now.”
Vouchers can be purchased online via our Ticket shop purchased or can be purchased locally at the museum.
Allow around 60-90 minutes for your visit. This depends heavily on how long you spend exploring the rooms and exhibits and dealing with the topics.

The WOW Museum is easy to reach both by private car and public transport.
The Munich Isartor or Marienplatz subway stops are 5 minutes away on foot.
The nearest parking garage “Parkgarage Rieger City” is a 4-minute walk from the WOW Museum.
You can also take the bus to the “Tal” stop and then a 2-minute walk to the museum.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to refund the ticket once the order has been completed. Please contact our ticketing partner directly to rebook the ticket (info@ticketino.com). They can send you a rebooking code as long as we have benn informed min. 3 days before you visit the museum. Entries that are already in the past can no longer be rebooked.
That's right, with family tickets, you get four tickets, two adult tickets and two child tickets. However, you can bring up to four children with you. If you have five children or more, an additional ticket must be purchased.
We have 12 interactive rooms, which contain lots of colors, patterns and lights, including light shows. In addition, some of the rooms are a bit smaller. Some of them could have a more intense effect on people with a leg condition. At reception, we would be happy to inform you about the more sensitive rooms.
However, it should be noted that entry is at your own risk, as each person could react individually and differently to the exhibition. Of course, we provide support where we can.
In a worst-case scenario, a visit can also be canceled.
The building is equipped with an elevator to access the exhibition on the lower floor. We also have a wheelchair accessible toilet. Wheelchair users have discounted prices and any necessary assistance/accompanying person is free of charge.
We do not run a restaurant or café in the museum. Eating and drinking in the museum is prohibited. However, there are plenty of offers in the surrounding area that you can visit after your visit to the WOW Museum.
Visitors are only allowed into the exhibition on a limited basis to ensure a pleasant experience. We recommend you to book your tickets online and in advance.
The found items are kept in the WOW Museum for up to three weeks. After this period, well-preserved clothes and items will be donated to organizations. We also keep EC and credit cards, ID/passports, driver's licenses and keys in the museum for up to three weeks, after which we hand them over to the Munich police. In case of loss, please write to us at info@wow-museum.de.
If you are prevented due to illness or accident and have not purchased a ticket insurance, the ticket can unfortunately no longer be refunded. As a courtesy, we can issue you a promo code for a visit at a later date. Please sign in to do so at info@ticketino.com. Important: A promo code can only be issued if we are informed before your visit.

For all rebookings, please contact our ticket partner info@ticketino.com directly. Unfortunately, expired tickets can no longer be rebooked.
Tickets must be rebooked at least 3 days before visiting the museum so that we can free up the reserved slots again.
That is no problem. Admission is still possible after approx. 1 hour.

The museum covers around 500 m2, 2 floors and has 19 interactive illusion rooms, where you become part of the exhibition yourself.
Before you start the tour, our staff will introduce you to the visit.
You are welcome to plan an event with us at the museum for groups of 25 people or more. All information about this here.
On Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, an event is possible from 5 p.m., on Tuesday, you can start as early as 3:30 p.m. We do not offer exclusive use of the museum on weekends or during public holidays.
During the week at 19:00 - 19:15.
On Friday and Saturday at 21:00 - 21:15.
To have enough time for your visit, you should plan at least 45-60 minutes to visit the museum.
We therefore recommend that you arrive at the museum no later than 45 minutes before closing.
